At the press conference, Ke Liming, executive director of Ruyi Film, announced that the "Mirror" series of films will be jointly invested by China and Canada, and the famous Hollywood screenwriter John Corey, who has worked on many excellent works such as "The Alchemist", "The Sea of Rage" and "Happy Feet", and Andrew Mason, who has served as a producer of the "Matrix" series, and other Hollywood heavyweights "big names" will join.
Mr. Colliming also revealed that the first "Mirror Twin Cities" in the "Mirror Series" will be entirely dominated by the Chinese side, and will be produced using advanced Western special effects technology: "This is definitely a big production and investment film. The story involves three different ethnic groups. It can be said that it is very suitable for international themes, so the actors will also be selected from all over the world. Chinese and Hollywood A-list actors are likely to participate."
Speaking of this collaboration with China's Ruyi Film Company, Danny Bagilon, president of S YON Media, a Canadian company that has created special effects for films such as "Jupiter Ascending" and "X-Men: Reverse the Future", said: "Although he was born in 82, he is very young, but he represents a new generation of Chinese filmmakers. Ke always speaks fluent English and was educated abroad. Many of his ideas and concepts in the film industry are very advanced and very accurate. John Corey, the screenwriter, said of the new film: "I'm looking forward to adapting the first book in this fantasy series into a film. The reason why he was unwilling to easily hand over the film and television adaptation rights of the "Mirror Series" was because in Cang Yue's heart, these works were like his own children: "The beauty of the mackerel, the race that doesn't seem to exist in this world, is beyond reality. How can these be truly presented in the movie through special effects technology? This is what I have always been worried about."
With the involvement of the Confucian-Italian film industry and the establishment of the entire international team, Cangyue is now very confident in the success of the film, and in her heart, the final completed film may be an epic blockbuster similar to "The Lord of the Rings": "I hope that'Mirror · Twin Cities' can become the Chinese version of'The Lord of the Rings'.
