The woman, together with her husband, trafficked women and children
Twenty-one years ago, the woman and her husband abducted and sold three people to other places in the name of hiring small workers. After her husband was arrested, the woman drifted around incognito to avoid legal punishment. On November 18, the police in Lichuan, Hubei Province announced that the police had successfully arrested Zhang Mousu, who had been absconding for 21 years, and had been transferred for prosecution.
In November 1995, Zhang and her husband, Xu Mouping, lured two women from Zhonglu Town, Lichuan City, Zhang and Yang, with their 5-year-old daughter, to their home in the name of asking small workers to peel corn. A few days later, Zhang and Yang were taken to Liangping County, Chongqing City, where Xu contacted local buyers.
After being introduced by Baimou and You in Liangping County, the women Zhang and Yang were sold to others for 3,000 yuan and 3,350 yuan respectively, and Zhang's daughter was sold along with them. After that, Zhang and Yang's family and police have been looking for them everywhere, but there has been no news.
In 2000, Zhang's family received a letter from Liangping, Chongqing, asking for proof of Zhang's personal marriage status. The letter aroused the suspicion of the police, and the Lichuan Public Security Bureau immediately set up a special team to rush to Liangping County, Chongqing City, to find the three abducted people, and successfully rescued them and sent them back to Lichuan.
The task force further investigated and obtained a large amount of factual evidence, arresting Xu Mouping, Bai and You who were suspected of kidnapping and trafficking women and children, and Zhang Mousu absconded. On February 28, 2001, the Lichuan Municipal People's Court sentenced Xu Mouping and three others to fixed-term imprisonment according to law.
This year, the police in Lichuan learned of information that Zhang Mousu may be working in Anhui and Jiangsu under a false identity. The task force immediately went to Anhui to find Zhang Mousu, and finally arrested him in a construction canteen. After interrogation, Zhang Mousu truthfully confessed to the crime of abducting women and children with her husband.
At present, the case has been transferred to the Lichuan Municipal People's Procuratorate for prosecution.
