  Operation steps
  1. Prepare sample solutions according to national standards, SN standards, FDA standards, or other methods.
  2. Take 1 ml of the sample solution and add it to the color development medium cooled to 45-50 ° C to mix well or apply it on a plate.
  3. Cultivate at 36 ° C for 18-24 hours, select a plate with 30-200 colonies, and count the typical coliform and Escherichia coli colonies that appear on the plate. Typical colony of Escherichia coli is blue to purple, coliform coliform is pink, and other bacteria are colorless or yellow; total coliform coliform = blue colony + purple colony + pink colony, Escherichia coli = blue colony + purple colony;
  4. Suspected Escherichia coli colonies can be inoculated on nutrient agar plates, incubated at 36 ° C for 12-16 hours, and a single colony can be selected for a full set of biochemical tests for Escherichia coli (the company has 4 kinds of biochemical identification tube sets x 4 sets).
