Apstatin is shown to increase Bradykinin-promoted cardioprotection in rats with artificially introduced myocardial infarctions by inhibiting the Bradykinin degradation action of APP. When combined with the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors enalapril , lisinopril , or ramipril , decrease of myocardial infarction size was enhanced.
