OBAA（3-（4-十八烷基）-苯甲酰基丙烯酸）是一种有效的抑制剂，因此是PLA2（磷脂酶A2）的有用实验工具。OBAA特有的抑制蛇毒而不是猪胰腺的PLA2的能力。在实验中观察到OBAA可以抑制毒胡萝卜素诱导的Na +浓度增加，并阻止Ca | 2+ |进入致病性布鲁氏菌| Tyrpanosoma brucei |。 OBAA (3-(4-Octadecyl)-benzoylacrylic acid) is a potent inhibitor and therefore useful experimental tool for PLA2 (phospholipase A2). OBAA specifically displayed ability to inhibit PLA2 from snake venom, but not from porcine pancreas. OBAA was observed in experiments to inhibit Na+ concentration increase induced by thapsigargin and blocks Ca|2+|entry into pathogenic|Tyrpanosoma brucei|.
