Rifaximin是一种胃肠道选择性的抗生素 (antibiotic)，与细菌 DNA 依赖性 RNA 聚合酶的 β 亚基结合，从而抑制细菌 RNA 的合成 (bacterial RNA synthesis)。与革兰氏阴性菌（MIC：8-50 毫克/毫升）相比，Rifaximin对革兰氏阳性菌株（MIC：0.03-5 毫克/毫升）的敏感性更高。 Rifaximin 是Rifamycin SV衍生的一种半合成的，非全身性抗生素，具有抗菌活性。 Rifaximin, an orally administered, semi-synthetic, nonsystemic antibiotic derived from rifamycin SV with antibacterial activity. An antibiotic that inhibits RNA synthesis and activates PXR.
