Never push into P gear while driving

The vehicle is not stable, do not put it in P gear
After parking, you must turn off the engine and put it in P gear to pull out the key. Many people are used to stopping and pushing directly to P gear before turning off the engine and pulling the handbrake. At this time, the P gear transmission has a locking mechanism that bites the transmission gear. At this time, the movement will cause a little impact on the transmission gear. N block coasting
Do not hang into the N gear for coasting while driving, because the automatic transmission needs lubrication. When the gear is placed above the N gear during driving, the oil pump cannot supply oil normally for lubrication, which will increase the temperature of the internal parts of the transmission and cause complete damage. Because the output shaft speed of the transmission is very high at this time, and the engine is running at idle speed, the oil supply of the transmission oil pump is insufficient, the lubrication condition deteriorates, and for the multi-plate clutch inside the transmission, although the power has been cut off, its passive plate runs at high speed under the drive of the wheel, which is easy to cause resonance and skidding, resulting in adverse consequences. In addition, high-speed neutral coasting is also very dangerous, and it does not save fuel. Sliding to a stop at low speed can be hooked into the N gear in advance, but it has no effect.
Start the engine in gear other than P or N
Some drivers start the engine in gears other than P or N, and although the engine cannot run (because the interlocking mechanism protects it, it can only start in P and N gears), it may burn out the neutral start switch of the transmission. Because the automatic transmission is equipped with a neutral start switch, the transmission can only start the engine in P or N gears to avoid causing the car to start and move forward immediately when other gears start incorrectly. Therefore, be sure to confirm whether the shift lever is in P or N gear before starting the engine.
