A file rack in a computer is a data structure used to organize and manage disk files.
One is a directory in the computer disk space that establishes an independent path for classifying and storing electronic files. "File rack" is a directory name, which we can temporarily call "electronic file rack"; it provides a path address to the corresponding disk space. It can have an extension, but it does not have the function of a file extension, so it does not use an extension to identify the format like a file. But it has several types, such as: documents, pictures, albums, music, music collections, etc. The biggest advantage of using a file rack is that it provides convenience for file sharing and protection.
In order to organize and store files in an orderly manner, the operating system organizes files in several directories, also known as file racks. File racks generally use a multi-level structure (tree-like structure), in which each disk has a root file rack, which contains several files and file racks. File racks can contain not only files, but also next-level file racks. This multi-level file rack structure formed by pushing down not only helps users to classify and store files of different types and functions, but also facilitates file search. It also allows files in different file racks to have the same file name.
