Uses: For rapid detection of Salmonella in food, water, milk, ice cream and meat products. usage
Weigh 7.26g of this product, add 200ml of distilled water, add 3ml of additives, heat to boil to dissolve and keep stirring, heat for 10-20 minutes. When cooled to 45-50 ° C, pour into a sterile plate.
Attention: The prepared medium must be kept dry on the surface and can be placed upside down in an incubator at 37 ° C for 1-2 hours.
Operation steps
1. Prepare the sample solution according to national standards, SN standards, FDA standards or other methods.
2. Take 1 ml of sample solution and add it to 9 ml of RVS broth or other selective bacteria-increasing broth, and incubate it at 36 ° C 1 ° C for 242 hours;
3. Use a 3mm inoculation ring to take 1 ring of bacterial enhancement liquid, scribe and inoculate it on the Salmonella color-developing medium, and make 2 plates;
4. Cultured at 36 ℃ for 24~ 28h, Salmonella (except Salmonella typhi) was bright red, E. coli and E. coli were blue, Citrobacter was purple, and other bacteria were yellow or colorless;
5. Suspected colonies can be inoculated on nutrient agar plates, incubated at 36 ° C for 12-16 hours, and single colonies can be selected for a full set of biochemical tests and serological tests for Salmonella (the company has a biochemical identification tube set).

Limitations of the method
This medium cannot directly identify Salmonella typhi. The specificity of other Salmonella can reach 98%, and the accuracy is very high. Sometimes additional tests may be required.
